Action Plan for 2007
           In 2007 Bioterra Association proposes the following as its principal objectives and activities:
 
A. Organizational Objectives:
 
• To continually strengthen the Association by accepting and encouraging active and like minded new members. We consider this an important activity because only in large number, through realizing uniform products of high quality we can be present on market;
 In this regard will be set up the base of conversion of some producers (milk, meat and other products) for make  organic products, who in theirs turn as integrators, will attract a larger number of new members in associations who to assure the delivery of the product from the producer, main factor for the implementation of organic agriculture. So we anticipate a number increase with at least 500 new members.    
During the development of DEFRA and PHARE grants as a priority will be the activities of reaching new members.    
• The establishment of branches of the Association in counties with a large number of members and where the members wish to have such branches.
Along with the current branches in Bihor and Fagaras, we will try to establish a branch in Mures county.
• A regular exchange of information between the members of Bioterra and the leadership council. 
 
B. For the promote of the organic agriculture:
 
• The implementation of methods suggested by scientific research in organic agriculture through:
– Editions of Bioterra magazine;
– Elaboration and disseminating the technology of ecological agriculture in plant cultivation, animal breeding, and organic food process in three brochures;
– There will be 4 courses, 10 seminars, 2 thematic films, 2 documentary visits and three demonstration plots established.
– The selection and preparation of some model organic farms for plant cultivation, animal husbandry and processing organic produce and set up three organic bands in representative zones of the country.
 
C. Promoting Organic Food Products, Educating Consumers and Enlarging the Bio-food Segment in Romania:
 
• Keeping actually the date base regarding the request and the offer of organic products on internal and external market.    
• Holding actually the web page especially the news and offers of purchasing and selling for ecological producers;
 • Participate with organic food producers in at least 2 fairs, 3 exhibitions and their promotion through mass media;
 • Take actions for the education of consumers which need to select organic food not with the ‚eyes’ but selecting for “quality and health”; and observing products label.
• Organizing organic markets in Transylvania and setting up a association of value the organic products;
• To draw up at least two projects and win the necessary funding to accomplish the anticipated activities.
 
D. Raise the Prestige of the Bioterra Association:
 
• To make and strengthen collaboration with other NGOs of the country, finding new partners;
•  Open collaboration with partners from all interested foreign countries;
• Introduce in future programs of the Bioterra conference a session on the research which comprises the latest work in the organic field both from country and abroad.
